More AGU fun.  Before 1990s: Arctic warming was 0.60 C per decade; Afterwards, it’s 1.67 C per decade. Consequences of heat imbalance include: Pacific Warm Blob (with a Ridiculously Resilient Ridge), Atlantic Cold Blob, extreme precipitation (torrential rains, floods, droughts, snow dumps) with bizarre storm intensities, tracks, durations and sizes. Certainly there is No-New-Normal. Only Massive Change.
