Wildfires are increasing in frequency of occurrence, severity, and duration around the globe. There are more fires, they’re consuming larger areas, burning hotter and spreading much faster, burning for much longer times and fire seasons are longer by many months, and they are also occurring in places where they never did before, such as Greenland.
Climate change, with its extreme weather variability from torrential rains to extreme heat waves and droughts are smoking guns.
Jet Stream Crossing North Pole, South Pole, and Equator // Published on Oct 2, 2017
Jet stream behaviour is vitally important to weather patterns and climate around the Earth. Abrupt climate changed jet streams are doing very crazy things these days, including going directly across the North Pole, also crossing the South Pole, as well as crossing the Equator (as I have shown in previous videos).
I teach you how to use Earth Nullschool to examine examples for yourself for each of these bizarre jet stream behaviours over the last few months.
