Abrupt Climate Disrupting Arctic Changes: Part 1 of 2 // Published on Dec 30, 2016

I discuss gut-wrenching disruptions presently underway in our Arctic.

These include: record high temperatures, near-record summer ice and spring snow cover loss, record low sea-ice winter growth, and how the Beaufort Gyre and other ocean currents will reverse when we get complete sea-ice loss.

Abrupt Climate Disrupting Arctic Changes: Part 2 of 2

The first daylight of 2017 reaching the western Pacific (Himawari-8 satellite).” Tweeted by Zack Labe.

The first image of the entire Earth from space is a breathtaking reminder that humanity is on a solitary boulder hurtling through space. Even though we have numerous images now, they never cease to amaze and inspire me.

Happy New Year Earthlings!!

Biosphere crash is happening around us now!
Numerous feedback loops = more heat
Smaller Arctic Ice = more heat
Less glacial melt to rivers in China India Bangladesh
= less water for food people
    = Billions will starve and from heat stroke;
= mass migration but to where?
Less ice in Antartica = faster heat gain
We are facing the extinction of many parts of the biosphere; the collapse of all all the biosphere = death to all.
What are you going to do ?!
Are just going to lie down and take it or are you going to do something positive about it!
Anything you you do to reduce CO2 is good for you good for everything and everyone?

What in reality is the expected timeline to unsustainable life and the key realities of progressive rapid climate failure?
At what point will the masses realize how screwed they were and become angry?
Most goverment and buractrats and some acedemics plus the top 1% have built bolt holes to run to, where is the most sustainable place to give the greatest extention of time?

    Thank

How will the Greenland melt pool of fresh water affect the reversal of the Beaufort Gyre? Won’t that drive the Gulf Stream to the east? I realize the system is in a chaotic place of changing states but isn’t it possible the melt pool will cool the arctic basin and cause a re-freeze? Not a scientist but I would like to hear your views on this.
